Habilitation applications

The Universities Act 2002 as amended and the Habilitation Statutes of the University of Vienna form the legal basis for every habilitation procedure.

The application for habilitation has to be submitted in writing to the Dean's Office who shall examine the application to check that the admission requirements have been fulfilled (Habilitation Statutes §4(2)).

The habilitation applicants shall call the Faculty Manager, Ulf Thalhammer (ulf.rthalhammer@univie.ac.at) to make an appointment for a preliminary meeting with the Dean to discuss the habilitation project.
